Most Fuel Efficient Mustang

When you think of a Ford Mustang you don’t necessarily think of a particularly fuel efficient vehicle, instead you might think of a gas guzzler. In the past it has been just that but now Ford is looking to make the Mustang just as fuel efficient as any other car in its current automotive lineup.

The new 2011 Ford Mustang boasts a fuel efficiency rating of 31 mpg highway and 19 mpg in the city. This is an astounding and impressive achievement for a car that produces 305 horsepower from a massive 3.7-liter V-6 engine sitting under the hood. It also makes automotive industry history as the first production car capable of producing in excess of 300 horsepower and achieving in excess of 30 mpg highway at the same time. The automatic transmission is capable of the full 31 mpg highway while the manual transmission is slightly less efficient at 30 mpg highway.

This new mustang has already become a massive hit with over half of the already recorded 11,000 orders being for the more fuel efficient Mustang. This just goes to show how serious the Ford motor company is about trying to get one of the most fuel efficient automotive fleets in the industry. The Mustang is a fantastic option for the sporting enthusiast that is still conscious about their fuel consumption.

A Ford Mustang rebate would make this an even better purchase but there is now word yet on any rebates available for this 2011 Ford Mustang.
